Pune Municipal Corporation to Launch Eight New CBSE Schools
Times of India · education
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has received a no-objection certificate from the state government to establish eight new CBSE-affiliated schools, set to open from the 2027-28 academic year. This initiative is expected to benefit approximately 17,000 students by introducing a national-level English-medium curriculum. Officials believe this will help students better prepare for national entrance exams like JEE and NEET, addressing previous difficulties due to a lack of exposure to central boards. Educationists welcome the move, highlighting that it will provide a valuable platform for meritorious students from financially weaker sections.
