Supreme Court Cancels Bail for Corporator in Doctor Assault Case

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने डॉक्टरों से जुड़े मारपीट के मामले में 73 वर्षीय नगर निगम पार्षद रमेश म्हात्रे को मिली जमानत रद्द कर दी है। कोर्ट ने जोर देकर कहा कि सार्वजनिक अधिकारी को कानून के दायरे में रहकर देश की सेवा करनी चाहिए। इसने निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधियों द्वारा अपने अधिकार का दुरुपयोग करने के आरोपों की पुनरावृत्ति पर ध्यान दिया। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मुकदमे की समय सीमा छह महीने तक बढ़ा दी और कहा कि यदि परिस्थितियाँ बदलती हैं तो म्हात्रे जमानत के लिए फिर से आवेदन कर सकते हैं।
