Belagavi City Corporation to Establish New Stray Dog Sterilisation Centre

The Belagavi City Corporation is set to establish a permanent stray dog sterilisation centre in Savgaon, located on the outskirts of the city. An one-acre site has been identified and transferred to the corporation for this purpose. This new facility aims to provide a suitable location for surgeries, addressing issues faced at temporary sites due to local opposition. Sterilisation operations will continue at a temporary shed in Hirebagewadi until the Savgaon centre is fully operational. The corporation has also designated 26 feeding zones for stray dogs within the city.

बेलगावी सिटी कॉर्पोरेशन शहर के बाहरी इलाके सावगांव में एक स्थायी कुत्ता नसबंदी केंद्र स्थापित करने जा रहा है। इसके लिए एक एकड़ जमीन की पहचान कर ली गई है और कॉर्पोरेशन को सौंप दी गई है। इस नई सुविधा का उद्देश्य सर्जरी के लिए एक उपयुक्त स्थान प्रदान करना है, जिससे अस्थायी स्थलों पर स्थानीय विरोध के कारण आने वाली समस्याओं का समाधान हो सके। सावगांव केंद्र के पूरी तरह चालू होने तक हिरेबागवाड़ी में एक अस्थायी शेड में नसबंदी अभियान जारी रहेगा। कॉर्पोरेशन ने शहर के भीतर आवारा कुत्तों के लिए 26 खाने के जोन भी निर्धारित किए हैं।
