CENTCOM asserted that the United States and its regional partners maintain control over the strait. This statement comes amid heightened tensions and follows comments from an Iranian IRGC official claiming full control. Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson also indicated an understanding with Oman regarding safe passage, to be presented internationally.
