Malkajgiri police in Hyderabad have arrested four women for allegedly operating an illegal finance racket and harassing loanees by charging exorbitant interest. The accused, identified as K Nagamma, K Gangamma, Mangamma, and Anasuya, formed an organized gang that targeted financially distressed individuals. They deducted substantial advance interest, obtained promissory notes and blank cheques for higher amounts, and threatened victims even after loans were repaid. In one instance, a doctor was harassed without receiving finance, and her vehicles were seized.
