Ex-ED Deputy Director Quits Amritpal's Party

Former Enforcement Directorate deputy director Niranjan Singh has quit the Akali Dal Waris Punjab De party just four days after joining. Singh cited differences on non-negotiable issues, stating that public conduct must remain within the Constitution. He had initially joined the party to address issues like the drug menace and corruption in Punjab. Singh clarified that no pressure was put on him to leave. Party functionary Manpreet Singh Ayali acknowledged Singh's decision as his own will.

एनफोर्समेंट डायरेक्टरेट के पूर्व डिप्टी डायरेक्टर निरंजन सिंह ने अकाली दल वारिस पंजाब दे पार्टी से जुड़ने के सिर्फ़ चार दिन बाद ही इस्तीफा दे दिया है। सिंह ने गैर-समझौतावादी मुद्दों पर मतभेद का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि सार्वजनिक आचरण संविधान के दायरे में ही रहना चाहिए। उन्होंने शुरू में पंजाब में नशे की समस्या और भ्रष्टाचार जैसे मुद्दों को उठाने के लिए पार्टी ज्वाइन की थी। सिंह ने साफ किया कि उन्हें छोड़ने के लिए कोई दबाव नहीं डाला गया था। पार्टी के पदाधिकारी मनप्रीत सिंह अयाली ने सिंह के फैसले को उनकी अपनी इच्छा बताया।
