उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा कि अंकिता भंडारी हत्याकांड के दोषियों को आजीवन कारावास की सज़ा सरकार की न्याय के प्रति मज़बूत प्रतिबद्धता को साबित करती है। तत्काल सख़्त कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया गया, जिससे 24 घंटे के भीतर आरोपियों की गिरफ़्तारी हुई और गहन जांच के लिए एक SIT का गठन किया गया। सरकार ने परिवार की इच्छा के अनुसार तीन बार लोक अभियोजक भी बदला और CBI जांच का आदेश दिया। परिवार को ₹25 लाख की आर्थिक सहायता और सरकारी नौकरी भी प्रदान की गई।
