Business Standard · technology

WhatsApp is enhancing group chat functionality with four new features aimed at improving conversation management. Users can now pin messages indefinitely, share recent chat history with new members, post status updates visible only to specific groups, and filter unread conversations by mentions and replies. These updates focus on helping users easily catch up on active discussions, especially after being away from a chat. The platform also highlighted existing tools like private replies and member tags to further streamline group interactions.
