YSRCP Declares Anam Vijaykumar Reddy as Nellore Mayoral Candidate Early

Times of India · politics

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced Anam Vijaykumar Reddy as the party's mayoral candidate for the Nellore Municipal Corporation. This marks the YSRCP's first official candidacy declaration for the upcoming civic polls. The early announcement is seen as a tactic to galvanize party cadres and gain a psychological edge over the ruling coalition. However, the timing raises eyebrows as the crucial issue of Backward Classes reservation quotas for municipal bodies is pending before the Supreme Court.
