A long weekend has led to a significant surge in vehicles on major mountain routes in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, causing severe traffic jams. The Joshimath-Badrinath route is experiencing extensive congestion, with vehicle queues stretching for 7 to 9 kilometers. Similar traffic snarls are reported on the Kalka-Shimla National Highway-5, where journeys are taking several hours longer than usual. The heavy influx of tourists and pilgrims has overwhelmed road capacity, leading to prolonged delays and inconvenience for travelers, including women and the elderly.

लंबे वीकेंड के कारण उत्तराखंड और हिमाचल प्रदेश के पहाड़ी रास्तों पर गाड़ियों की भारी भीड़ उमड़ पड़ी है, जिससे भयानक ट्रैफिक जाम लग गया है। जोशीमठ-बद्रीनाथ मार्ग पर 7 से 9 किलोमीटर तक गाड़ियों की लंबी कतारें देखी जा रही हैं। कालका-शिमला नेशनल हाईवे-5 पर भी ऐसी ही जाम की स्थिति है, जहाँ सफर में सामान्य से कई घंटे ज़्यादा लग रहे हैं। पर्यटकों और श्रद्धालुओं की भारी संख्या के कारण सड़कें जाम हो गई हैं, जिससे यात्रियों, जिनमें महिलाएं और बुजुर्ग भी शामिल हैं, को लंबे समय तक इंतजार करना पड़ रहा है और असुविधा हो रही है।
