उत्तर प्रदेश के बरेली में एक पति ने करवा चौथ के दिन अपनी पत्नी को होटल के कमरे में उसके प्रेमी के साथ पकड़ा। यह जोड़ा एक साल पहले प्रेम विवाह किया था और उनका एक बच्चा है। पत्नी की बार-बार फोन पर होने वाली बातों से पति को शक हुआ तो उसने पीछा किया और उसे एक दूसरे आदमी के साथ पाया। इसके बाद उसने पुलिस को सूचित किया, जिसने उन्हें पकड़ लिया। पुलिस स्टेशन में पत्नी ने घर लौटने से इनकार कर दिया और अपने प्रेमी के साथ रहने पर जोर दिया। पति ने उस पर उसे जान से मारने की कोशिश करने और धमकी देने का आरोप लगाया।
