Kerala Man Arrested for Wife's Dowry Death After She Was Found Hanging

Police in Thrissur, Kerala, have arrested a 23-year-old man, Afsal K S, in connection with his wife Emilda Baisol Moothedan's death. The 21-year-old was found hanging in their home and later died during treatment. Investigations revealed Emilda had confided in friends about alleged harassment at her husband's house. Afsal has been booked under Section 80 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to dowry death. He has been remanded in judicial custody following his court appearance.
