Mental Health Patient Dies at SCB Hospital, Family Alleges Assault by Staff

कटक के SCB मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल में बुधवार को 34 वर्षीय मानसिक स्वास्थ्य मरीज श्रीकांत दास की मौत हो गई। उसके परिवार का आरोप है कि अस्पताल के स्टाफ, जिसमें सुरक्षाकर्मी भी शामिल थे, ने उसकी बुरी तरह पिटाई की, जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। उनका दावा है कि उसके शरीर पर चोट के निशान दिख रहे हैं और उन्होंने सबूत के तौर पर तस्वीरें भी दी हैं। परिवार की शिकायत के बाद पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और मरीज की चोटों और मौत के कारणों की जांच शुरू कर दी है। अस्पताल प्रशासन ने पुलिस की चल रही जांच में पूरा सहयोग करने का वादा किया है।
