NCW Takes Suo Motu Action After Video Shows Senior J&K IAS Officer Abusing Subordinate

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo motu cognisance of a viral video allegedly showing a senior Jammu and Kashmir IAS officer, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, verbally abusing a junior female officer, Beenish Wani. The NCW has sought an action taken report within seven days from the Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir. They are also calling for verification of the video, an impartial inquiry, and appropriate disciplinary and legal action if the allegations are proven.

नेशनल कमीशन फॉर वुमन (NCW) ने एक वायरल वीडियो का स्वतः संज्ञान लिया है जिसमें कथित तौर पर जम्मू-कश्मीर के एक वरिष्ठ IAS अधिकारी, कुमार राजीव रंजन, एक जूनियर महिला अधिकारी, बीनिश वानी, को मौखिक रूप से गाली दे रहे हैं। NCW ने जम्मू और कश्मीर के मुख्य सचिव से सात दिनों के भीतर कार्रवाई रिपोर्ट मांगी है। वे वीडियो के सत्यापन, निष्पक्ष जांच और आरोपों के सच साबित होने पर उचित अनुशासनात्मक और कानूनी कार्रवाई की भी मांग कर रहे हैं।
