Indian Techie Used AI to Send 1500+ Fake Bomb Threats Across India

An Indian IT professional working in the US has been arrested for sending over 200 fake bomb threat emails to sensitive locations in Kerala, including the Chief Minister's residence, airports, and temples. The 37-year-old accused, Sharath Subramanyam, used AI to generate these threats and then monitored Indian news channels to gauge the panic caused. He was apprehended at Chennai airport after being linked to more than 1500 such hoaxes nationwide. The investigation revealed his involvement in AI research, which he exploited for malicious purposes.
