Retired Official Arrested Under POCSO Act in Ongole for Exploiting Minor Girl

Police in Ongole have arrested a 64-year-old retired DRDA employee, Battula Venkata Rao, under the POCSO and SC/ST Acts for allegedly sexually exploiting a minor girl. The incident came to light when another girl, who was with the victim, called the emergency helpline 112. The girls were allegedly taken to the accused's house by the hostel cook. The BC Welfare Minister has ordered an inquiry and directed action against staff and regular inspections at hostels.

ओंगोल में पुलिस ने 64 साल के रिटायर्ड DRDA कर्मचारी, बट्टुला वेंकट राव को POCSO और SC/ST एक्ट के तहत एक नाबालिग लड़की के कथित यौन शोषण के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। यह मामला तब सामने आया जब पीड़ित के साथ एक दूसरी लड़की ने इमरजेंसी हेल्पलाइन 112 पर फोन किया। आरोप है कि हॉस्टल की कुक लड़कियों को आरोपी के घर ले गई थी। BC वेलफेयर मंत्री ने जांच के आदेश दिए हैं और हॉस्टल के स्टाफ पर कार्रवाई व नियमित निरीक्षण के निर्देश दिए हैं।
