This reply triggers a hidden auto-execution file, giving hackers control of the user's phone without needing links or OTPs. Experts advise never to respond to such WhatsApp messages from banks and to verify transactions through official bank apps or customer care.

व्हाट्सएप पर एक नया बैंकिंग स्कैम चल रहा है, जो भोले-भाले यूजर्स को निशाना बना रहा है। हाल ही में एक चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट ने व्हाट्सएप पर एक धोखाधड़ी वाले ट्रांजैक्शन मैसेज का 'नहीं' में जवाब देने के बाद ₹1.70 लाख गंवा दिए। इस स्कैम में एक नकली डेबिट अलर्ट भेजा जाता है, जिसके बाद यह प्रॉम्प्ट आता है कि अगर ट्रांजैक्शन आपने नहीं किया है तो 'नहीं' जवाब दें। यह जवाब एक छिपी हुई ऑटो-एग्जीक्यूशन फाइल को ट्रिगर करता है, जिससे हैकर्स को फोन का कंट्रोल मिल जाता है, बिना किसी लिंक या OTP की ज़रूरत के।
