East African Nations Race to Prepare for AFCON 2027 Tournament

Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania are in the final stages of preparing to co-host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled from June 19 to July 17, 2027. This marks the first time three East African nations will jointly host the tournament, and its return to the region since 1976. A Confederation of African Football delegation recently inspected facilities, including the new 60,000-capacity Talanta Sports International Stadium in Nairobi.
