Congress Protest Over Ankita Bhandari Case Leads to Police Action at India Gate

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi met with the parents of Ankita Bhandari during a late-night protest at India Gate. The demonstration, which included numerous party workers, continued after the Gandhis departed. Delhi Police, citing Section 144 in the area, asked the protesters to disperse. When the Congress workers refused, police forcibly removed them and began detaining leaders and activists. The protest aimed to raise political pressure regarding the Ankita Bhandari case.

कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी ने देर रात इंडिया गेट पर अंकिता भंडारी के माता-पिता से मुलाकात की। कई पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ यह प्रदर्शन गांधी के जाने के बाद भी जारी रहा। दिल्ली पुलिस ने इलाके में धारा 144 का हवाला देते हुए प्रदर्शनकारियों को तितर-बितर होने को कहा। जब कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने मना कर दिया, तो पुलिस ने उन्हें जबरन हटा दिया और नेताओं व कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लेना शुरू कर दिया। यह प्रदर्शन अंकिता भंडारी मामले को लेकर राजनीतिक दबाव बनाने के उद्देश्य से किया गया था।
