Tata Motors iRA Apps Vulnerable to Data Theft, User Impersonation: CERT-In

Business Standard · technology

India's CERT-In has identified multiple high-severity security vulnerabilities in select versions of Tata Motors' iRA 2.0 and iRA.ev connected vehicle applications. These flaws could enable attackers to steal sensitive credentials, access vehicle data, and impersonate users. The vulnerabilities stem from issues like hardcoded credentials, inadequate URL validation, improper logging of authentication tokens, and flawed SSL certificate pinning. CERT-In advises users to upgrade to the latest versions to mitigate these risks and protect their vehicle's connected services.
