Uttarakhand has begun installing early warning systems to mitigate the risks posed by glacial lake floods. Vasundhara Tal is one of the 13 glacial lakes identified as high-risk by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and various technical institutions. उत्तराखंड ने ग्लेशियल झीलों से आने वाली बाढ़ के जोखिम को कम करने के लिए अर्ली वार्निंग सिस्टम लगाना शुरू कर दिया है। राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (NDMA) और विभिन्न तकनीकी संस्थानों द्वारा पहचानी गई 13 उच्च जोखिम वाली ग्लेशियल झीलों में से एक वसुंधरा ताल है। इन प्रणालियों का उद्देश्य नीचे रहने वाले समुदायों को समय पर अलर्ट देना है, ताकि वे आवश्यक सावधानी बरत सकें। यह पहल ऐसे प्राकृतिक घटनाओं के प्रति संवेदनशील क्षेत्र में आपदा तैयारियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है, जिससे जान-माल की सुरक्षा हो सके।
