Congress Slams Centre Over Delimitation, Asks Why Govt Is Scared

Times of India · politics

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has accused the Centre of arbitrary actions regarding the proposed delimitation exercise. He questioned the government's reluctance to hold an all-party meeting to discuss the proposals before they are finalised. This follows Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's repeated demands for such a meeting. Kharge also raised concerns about the 64-day delay in proroguing Parliament's Monsoon Session, calling the situation unprecedented. The Congress party insists that matters of national importance require discussion between the ruling alliance and the opposition.
