A new cyclonic storm, named Murasu, is expected to form in the Bay of Bengal and make landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast evening. The system, currently a low-pressure area, is forecast to intensify into a cyclonic storm. This follows closely after Cyclone Arnab, which caused significant displacement. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry's Yanam region are bracing for heavy rainfall and high seas. Other southern Indian states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and parts of Puducherry are also under a rain alert for the coming days.
