Mahasabha Seeks Karnataka Ratna Award For Freedom Fighter Bheemanna Khandre

The Chikkamagaluru unit of the Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha has resolved to posthumously seek the Karnataka Ratna award for freedom fighter Bheemanna Khandre. The resolution was passed at a function attended by Rambhapuri mutt seer Prasanna Renuka Veerasomeshwara Shivacharya, who supported the initiative. Khandre is recognized for his contributions to the freedom struggle, providing free legal aid to over 1,000 poor individuals, and promoting the Kannada language during oppressive rule. The Mahasabha plans to recommend this to the Chief Minister, highlighting Khandre's significant societal work.

अखिल भारत वीरशैव लिंगायत महासभा की चिक्कमगलुरु इकाई ने स्वतंत्रता सेनानी भीमन्ना खांड्रे को मरणोपरांत कर्नाटक रत्न पुरस्कार देने की मांग का प्रस्ताव पारित किया है। यह प्रस्ताव एक कार्यक्रम में पारित किया गया जिसमें रामभापुरी मठ के प्रमुख प्रसन्न रेणुका वीरोमेश्वर शिवाचार्य भी शामिल थे, जिन्होंने इस पहल का समर्थन किया। खांड्रे को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में उनके योगदान, 1,000 से अधिक गरीब लोगों को मुफ्त कानूनी सहायता प्रदान करने और दमनकारी शासन के दौरान कन्नड़ भाषा को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पहचाना जाता है। महासभा मुख्यमंत्री को खांड्रे के महत्वपूर्ण सामाजिक कार्यों को उजागर करते हुए इसकी सिफारिश करने की योजना बना रही है।
