Lucknow Flood Relief: 5.5km Embankment on Gomti River Planned

Lucknow will receive permanent relief from waterlogging with a new 5.5-kilometer embankment planned along the Gomti River. This initiative, discussed in a high-level meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityanath, aims to permanently solve the flooding issues faced by areas like Faizullaganj. The plan also includes strengthening drainage systems with 12 new pumping stations and improving infrastructure. Additionally, a new educational institution and upgraded health centers are proposed for the affected regions, alongside plans to increase the river's water storage capacity through dredging.

लखनऊ को गोमती नदी के किनारे 5.5 किलोमीटर लंबे नए तटबंध की योजना के साथ जलभराव से स्थायी राहत मिलेगी। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की अध्यक्षता में हुई एक उच्च-स्तरीय बैठक में इस पहल पर चर्चा की गई, जिसका उद्देश्य फैजुल्लागंज जैसे क्षेत्रों द्वारा सामना की जाने वाली बाढ़ की समस्याओं को स्थायी रूप से हल करना है। इस योजना में 12 नए पंपिंग स्टेशनों के साथ जल निकासी प्रणालियों को मजबूत करना और बुनियादी ढांचे में सुधार करना भी शामिल है।
