Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has assured the Adi community that no decision has been made regarding the proposed 11,200 MW Siang dam. His statement comes amidst a 36-hour bandh in the Upper Siang district, called by the SUMP Affected Area Youth Association demanding the release of arrested individuals and withdrawal of CAPF. Protesters fear displacement and submergence of ancestral lands.
