Goa Govt Approves Sugar Factory Redevelopment Project

Goa's cabinet has approved the redevelopment of the Sanjivani sugar factory through a public-private partnership. Credo Impex Pvt Ltd, in consortium with two other firms, was selected for the project, estimated at Rs 130 crore. The selected bidder will design, finance, build, operate, and transfer the facility. The factory, shut since the 2019-20 season, will be modernized to increase crushing capacity and include an ethanol production plant. This initiative aims to revive sugarcane farming and boost ethanol production in the state.

गोवा कैबिनेट ने संजीवनी शुगर फैक्ट्री को पब्लिक-प्राइवेट पार्टनरशिप से फिर से बनाने की मंजूरी दे दी है। इस 130 करोड़ रुपये के प्रोजेक्ट के लिए Credo Impex Pvt Ltd और दो अन्य कंपनियों के समूह को चुना गया है। ये कंपनी फैक्ट्री को डिजाइन, फाइनेंस, बनाएगी, चलाएगी और फिर सरकार को सौंप देगी। 2019-20 से बंद पड़ी यह फैक्ट्री अब इथेनॉल प्लांट के साथ आधुनिक बनाई जाएगी, जिससे गन्ने की खेती और इथेनॉल उत्पादन को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
