FIIs Dump Indian Stocks For Eighth Straight Week, Offloading Rs 30,294 Crore

Economic Times Markets · stocks

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have extended their selling streak in Indian equities to eight consecutive weeks, offloading shares worth Rs 30,294 crore in the last trading week. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) stepped up purchases, buying equities worth Rs 30,313 crore to absorb the outflows. Despite this, elevated crude oil prices, a weakening rupee, and volatile global bond yields continue to weigh on market sentiment. The Nifty 50 snapped its losing streak, closing marginally higher, but remains below its September-end close due to persistent foreign selling.
