HC: Family Cannot Control Adult's Life Partner Choice

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that parents and family members cannot control an adult's choice of life partner. The court allowed a 26-year-old Hindu woman to live with her Muslim husband. The husband had filed a habeas corpus petition after his wife was taken by her parents following a complaint. The court emphasized that an adult's decision to live with their chosen partner is their own.

हाई कोर्ट: बालिग के जीवनसाथी चुनने के फैसले में परिवार का दखल नहीं

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने कहा है कि माता-पिता या परिवार वाले किसी बालिग के जीवनसाथी चुनने के फैसले पर रोक नहीं लगा सकते। कोर्ट ने एक 26 साल की हिंदू लड़की को उसके मुस्लिम पति के साथ रहने की इजाजत दे दी। लड़की के माता-पिता उसे ले गए थे, जिसके बाद पति ने Habeas Corpus याचिका दायर की थी। कोर्ट ने जोर दिया कि बालिग अपनी मर्जी से किसी के साथ रहने का फैसला खुद कर सकता है।
