Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) staff neglecting public toilet cleanliness will face disciplinary action, with corrective steps to be taken within 24 hours of complaints. This was stated in a written submission to the Bombay High Court's Nagpur bench during a public interest litigation hearing. Sanitation inspectors are now responsible for routine cleaning and maintenance, monitored by zonal officers. The civic body assured the court that complaints will be addressed promptly, and staff failing to perform their duties will face proceedings. The next hearing is scheduled for November 30.

सार्वजनिक शौचालयों की बदहाली पर नागपुर नगर निगम के कर्मचारियों पर कार्रवाई होगी

नागपुर नगर निगम (NMC) के जो कर्मचारी सार्वजनिक शौचालयों की सफाई में लापरवाही बरतेंगे, उन पर अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। शिकायतों के 24 घंटे के भीतर सुधारात्मक कदम उठाए जाएंगे। यह बात बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट की नागपुर पीठ में जनहित याचिका की सुनवाई के दौरान लिखित जवाब में कही गई। अब स्वच्छता निरीक्षकों की जिम्मेदारी होगी कि वे नियमित सफाई और रखरखाव करें, जिसकी निगरानी क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी करेंगे। निगम ने अदालत को आश्वासन दिया है कि शिकायतों का तुरंत समाधान किया जाएगा और जो कर्मचारी अपना कर्तव्य निभाने में विफल रहेंगे, उन पर कार्रवाई होगी। अगली सुनवाई 30 नवंबर को तय है।
