Two newly-elected Independent Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) in Bihar, Rahul Raj and Banshidhar Brajwasi, have declared their support for the BJP. This comes just days after they won their respective seats in the State legislative council elections from Saran Teachers and Tirhut Graduate constituencies. Notably, both candidates had defeated candidates from the ruling alliance partner, Janata Dal-United (JD-U), in their elections. Their decision to support the BJP was announced after attending a party meeting, signaling a shift in the state's political landscape.
