Yemen's internationally recognised government reported 20 air strikes targeting Houthi movements, personnel, and equipment in Taiz province over three hours. This escalation marks the most serious conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-aligned Houthis since a 2022 truce. Control of Taiz would grant the Houthis full command of northern Yemen, a stronger Red Sea presence, and easier access to Aden.
