Underworld don Om Prakash Srivastava, also known as बबलू श्रीवास्तव, has been acquitted by a special CBI court in Lucknow. The case involved a conspiracy to kidnap a hotel businessman from West Bengal. The court discharged him due to a lack of concrete evidence to prove the charges. Srivastava was accused of planning the kidnapping from within Nainital jail, where he was serving time. Despite this acquittal, he remains in Bareilly Central Jail as he is serving sentences in other criminal cases.
