Rain significantly disrupted the opening day of the second Test between Australia and South Africa in Gqeberha, allowing only 12.2 overs of play. South Africa struggled to 20-2 at stumps after losing Aiden Markram for 11 and David Bedingham for a golden duck. Play was delayed by nearly two hours initially, and further interruptions prevented any action after tea. Debutant Marques Ackerman and captain Temba Bavuma were at the crease, with Australia having won the first Test and leading the series 1-0.
