नव नियुक्त ओडिशा के राज्यपाल ब्रजमोहन राम ने राज्य के लिए बेरोजगारी, अशिक्षा, अपर्याप्त स्वास्थ्य सेवा और घुसपैठ को महत्वपूर्ण चुनौतियाँ बताया है। उन्होंने साझा सामाजिक-आर्थिक चिंताओं के कारण पड़ोसी झारखंड के साथ समानताएं बताते हुए इन मुद्दों को हल करने के लिए सरकार के साथ सहयोग करने की योजना बनाई है। तीन बार पलामू के सांसद रह चुके राम ने ओडिशा के लोगों की ईमानदारी से सेवा करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की। उनकी नियुक्ति छह राज्यों में राज्यपालों के हालिया फेरबदल के बाद हुई है। राम की संवैधानिक पद तक की यात्रा छात्र राजनीति में शुरू हुई और इसमें एक क्राउड-फंडेड चुनाव अभियान भी शामिल था।
