सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 135 साल पुरानी सेंट्रल सेक्रेटेरिएट लाइब्रेरी के प्रस्तावित स्थानांतरण के संबंध में एक स्वतः संज्ञान मामला शुरू किया है। रिपोर्टों से पता चलता है कि सेंट्रल विस्टा पुनर्विकास परियोजना के हिस्से के रूप में, 8.5 लाख से अधिक पुस्तकों वाली लाइब्रेरी को 30 सितंबर तक शास्त्री भवन खाली करने का आदेश दिया गया था। अदालत इस मामले की सुनवाई सोमवार, 5 अक्टूबर, 2026 को करेगी। 1891 में स्थापित इस लाइब्रेरी का 1969 में शास्त्री भवन में बसने से पहले स्थानांतरण का एक लंबा इतिहास रहा है।
