Athlete Parvej Khan's Doping Ban Reduced To Five Years By Appeal Panel

The National Anti-Doping Appeal Panel (NADAP) has reduced athlete Parvej Khan's doping suspension from six years to five on technical grounds. Khan was initially suspended for two violations by a NADA disciplinary panel. NADAP ruled that his whereabouts failures in 2023 and an adverse analytical finding for EPO in August 2024 should be considered a single violation. He will serve a four-year ban for the EPO finding, plus an additional year due to aggravating circumstances, with his suspension effective from August 28, 2024.
