SBI Confirms Data Leak of 3,897 Customer Records on Dark Web

State Bank of India has confirmed a preliminary analysis identified 3,897 customer records with personally identifiable information suspected to have been exposed on the dark web. The bank was alerted on October 16 by its Threat Intelligence Service Provider, Defence Cyber Agency, and CERT-In. SBI has activated cyber response protocols and engaged an independent cybersecurity agency for a comprehensive assessment. The bank examined approximately 375,000 records found on the dark web as part of its investigation into the alleged compromise.

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने पुष्टि की है कि शुरुआती विश्लेषण में 3,897 ग्राहक रिकॉर्ड मिले हैं जिनमें व्यक्तिगत पहचान योग्य जानकारी डार्क वेब पर लीक होने का संदेह है। बैंक को 16 अक्टूबर को इसके थ्रेट इंटेलिजेंस सर्विस प्रोवाइडर, डिफेंस साइबर एजेंसी और CERT-In द्वारा सूचित किया गया था। एसबीआई ने साइबर रिस्पांस प्रोटोकॉल सक्रिय कर दिए हैं और एक व्यापक मूल्यांकन के लिए एक स्वतंत्र साइबर सुरक्षा एजेंसी को शामिल किया है। बैंक ने कथित समझौते की जांच के हिस्से के रूप में डार्क वेब पर पाए गए लगभग 375,000 रिकॉर्ड की जांच की।
