A Dalit woman in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly delivered her baby on the roadside outside a government hospital after being denied admission. Her family and opposition parties claim caste discrimination led to the incident, calling it a failure of the system. Authorities stated disciplinary action has been taken against personnel for partial negligence. The woman, suffering from severe anemia, was referred to another facility but went into labour prematurely. Both mother and infant are reported to be healthy and recovering.

उत्तर प्रदेश के भदोही में एक दलित महिला ने कथित तौर पर सरकारी अस्पताल में प्रवेश से रोके जाने के बाद सड़क पर बच्चे को जन्म दिया। उसके परिवार और विपक्षी दलों का दावा है कि इस घटना के पीछे जातिगत भेदभाव था और इसे व्यवस्था की विफलता बताया। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि आंशिक लापरवाही के लिए कर्मियों के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की गई है। गंभीर एनीमिया से पीड़ित महिला को दूसरे अस्पताल रेफर किया गया था, लेकिन समय से पहले प्रसव पीड़ा शुरू हो गई। मां और नवजात दोनों स्वस्थ बताए जा रहे हैं और ठीक हो रहे हैं।
