Maharashtra FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe's strict enforcement has prompted food businesses nationwide to enhance vigilance and compliance. Companies are now opting for monthly audits, a significant increase from quarterly checks, and investing more in laboratory testing and employee training. This heightened scrutiny, driven by regulators across states like Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, and West Bengal, follows inspections revealing issues like expired food and fake ingredients. The trend indicates a shift towards making food safety a routine operational cost, moving beyond bare minimum compliance.

महाराष्ट्र एफडीए प्रमुख तुकाराम मुंडे की सख्ती से देश भर के खाद्य कारोबारियों में हड़कंप मच गया है। अब कंपनियां तिमाही की बजाय हर महीने ऑडिट करा रही हैं और लैब टेस्टिंग व कर्मचारियों की ट्रेनिंग पर ज्यादा खर्च कर रही हैं। जम्मू-कश्मीर, कर्नाटक और पश्चिम बंगाल जैसे राज्यों में भी ऐसी ही सख्ती देखी जा रही है। एक्सपायर्ड खाना और नकली सामग्री मिलने के बाद यह कदम उठाया गया है। इससे फूड सेफ्टी अब सिर्फ दिखावा नहीं, बल्कि एक नियमित खर्च बनता जा रहा है।
