Homeopathy Colleges Seek Lower NEET Cut-offs Amidst 50% Vacant Seats
Times of India · education
Homeopathic medical colleges in Maharashtra are facing a crisis with approximately 50% of undergraduate and numerous postgraduate seats remaining vacant. The Principals Association has urged the Union AYUSH ministry to lower NEET qualifying percentiles for the 2026 admission season, arguing current cut-offs prevent students from filling available spots. They highlighted that vacant seats impact colleges' financial sustainability, affecting faculty salaries and operations. The association seeks similar relaxations as seen in MBBS and BDS admissions to address the issue and ensure institutional viability.
