Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka have been in judicial custody since October 14. On Sunday, CJP leaders waited nearly five hours at Mandir Marg police station for a hearing on their release. The special executive magistrate, citing threats and mental harassment, concluded the hearing in just eight to ten minutes, leaving the duo's release unresolved for the fifth consecutive day. Police alleged the CJP leaders were planning another protest, a claim the party denies.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के नेता सौरभ दास और आशुतोष रंका 14 अक्टूबर से न्यायिक हिरासत में हैं। रविवार को CJP नेताओं ने अपनी रिहाई पर सुनवाई के लिए मंदिर मार्ग पुलिस स्टेशन में लगभग पांच घंटे इंतजार किया। विशेष कार्यकारी मजिस्ट्रेट ने धमकी और मानसिक उत्पीड़न का हवाला देते हुए सुनवाई सिर्फ आठ से दस मिनट में समाप्त कर दी, जिससे पांचवें दिन भी दोनों की रिहाई अनसुलझी रह गई। पुलिस ने आरोप लगाया कि CJP नेता एक और विरोध प्रदर्शन की योजना बना रहे थे, जिसका पार्टी ने खंडन किया है।
