A 22-year-old youth from Bhadohi, Neeraj Yadav, who lost both his hands in an electrocution accident nine months ago, has received prosthetic arms free of cost at King George’s Medical University (KGMU). Unable to afford the limbs, he approached KGMU’s PMR department in July. With support from voluntary organisations, ₹9,500 was raised for the procedure. भदोही के नीरज यादव, जिनकी नौ महीने पहले बिजली का झटका लगने से दोनों कलाई चली गई थीं, उन्हें किंग जॉर्ज मेडिकल यूनिवर्सिटी (KGMU) में मुफ्त में कृत्रिम हाथ मिले हैं। नीरज यह महंगे हाथ खरीदने में असमर्थ थे, इसलिए उन्होंने जुलाई में KGMU के PMR विभाग से संपर्क किया। स्वयंसेवी संस्थाओं की मदद से ऑपरेशन के लिए ₹9,500 जुटाए गए। KGMU की टीम ने न केवल कृत्रिम हाथ लगाए, बल्कि उन्हें इस्तेमाल करने का प्रशिक्षण भी दिया।
