केरल हाई कोर्ट ने जिला कलेक्टर को कोच्चि शहर में बाढ़ रोकथाम के धीमे कामों पर एक विस्तृत रिपोर्ट सौंपने का निर्देश दिया है। कोर्ट ने कोच्चि मेट्रो रेल लिमिटेड से एडप्पल्ली नहर के कायाकल्प पर अपडेट मांगा और पुलिया की सफाई पर चर्चा के लिए एक रेलवे अधिकारी को पेश होने को कहा। एमिकस क्यूरी ने नहर पर अतिक्रमण और पुल निर्माण जैसी समस्याओं को उजागर किया, जिससे सफाई के प्रयासों में बाधा आ रही है।
