Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 35.9 degrees Celsius on Friday, significantly above normal for October and close to the all-time high. Clear skies and north-westerly winds are contributing to the unusual heat, with temperatures expected to remain elevated for the next five to six days. This heatwave is also affecting nearby cities like Ratlam, Ujjain, and Dhar, with western Madhya Pradesh experiencing above-normal warmth. The region has lacked sufficient rainfall to moderate daytime temperatures following the monsoon withdrawal and a dry spell in September.

शुक्रवार को इंदौर में अधिकतम तापमान 35.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया, जो अक्टूबर के लिए सामान्य से काफी ऊपर और रिकॉर्ड के करीब है। साफ आसमान और उत्तर-पश्चिमी हवाएं इस असामान्य गर्मी का कारण बन रही हैं, और अगले पांच से छह दिनों तक तापमान ऊंचा रहने की उम्मीद है। यह गर्मी रत्लाम, उज्जैन और धार जैसे पड़ोसी शहरों को भी प्रभावित कर रही है, और पश्चिमी मध्य प्रदेश में सामान्य से अधिक गर्मी पड़ रही है। मानसून की वापसी और सितंबर में सूखे की स्थिति के बाद क्षेत्र में दिन के तापमान को कम करने के लिए पर्याप्त बारिश नहीं हुई है।
