Sunil Kumar to fight for bronze; Nisha Dahiya loses opening round in wrestling

Indian wrestler Sunil Kumar will compete for the bronze medal in the men's 87kg Greco Roman category after losing his semifinal bout to Japan's Taizo Yoshida. Sunil had previously won bronze at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and secured a technical superiority win in his opening match. In the women's 68kg event, Nisha Dahiya was eliminated in the 1/8 round by North Korea's Sol Gum Pak. Nisha had previously lost to Pak at the Paris Olympics quarterfinals due to an injury.
