Kerala High Court Division Bench Refuses Stay on Waqf Board Reconstitution

A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court has refused to grant a stay on the reconstitution of the Kerala State Waqf Board. The appeals were filed by former board chairperson K.S. Hamza and member C.K. Usman Haji, challenging a Single Bench order that also refused to stay the reconstitution. The court stated that an interim stay could not be granted as the new board had already taken charge.

केरल हाई कोर्ट की एक डिवीजन बेंच ने केरल राज्य वक्फ बोर्ड के पुनर्गठन पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया है। यह अपील पूर्व बोर्ड अध्यक्ष के.एस. हमजा और सदस्य सी.के. उस्मान हाजी ने दायर की थी, जिसमें सिंगल बेंच के उस आदेश को चुनौती दी गई थी जिसने पुनर्गठन पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया था। अदालत ने कहा कि अंतरिम रोक नहीं दी जा सकती क्योंकि नया बोर्ड पहले ही कार्यभार संभाल चुका है।
