Jaishankar: Lack of Terror Understanding Hurts India-US Ties

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated that a lack of understanding regarding cross-border terrorism impacts India's bilateral relationships, particularly with the U.S. He highlighted that terrorism from a neighbor is a primary concern for India, and insufficient appreciation of this by partners affects ties. Jaishankar made these remarks at the Asia Society in New York, alluding to recent upswings in Washington-Islamabad relations. He noted that if a deeply important issue like terrorism is not fully understood, it creates problems in the partnership.
