Mumbai Hospital to Suspend In-Patient Services for Structural Repairs
Times of India · health
Mumbai's BMC-run V N Desai Hospital in Santacruz East is set to suspend in-patient services within one to two weeks due to critical structural repairs. Out-patient departments (OPDs) will continue to operate from temporary porta-clinics on the premises. The building has been deemed risky, with nets installed to prevent injuries. Patients requiring admission will be redirected to Bandra's K B Bhabha Hospital, with staff being split between both facilities. The move follows recommendations from the hospital infrastructure committee.
