State Revenue Receipts Lag Behind Estimates

State revenue receipts are significantly lower than projected, reaching only 32.14% of the ₹2.41 lakh crore target by the end of August. Tax revenue is also lagging, at 38.1% of the estimated ₹1.81 lakh crore. Non-tax revenue and grants-in-aid are major drags, with non-tax revenue at just 15.32% of its target. Meanwhile, expenditure on pensions and interest payments is high, consuming 84.74% and 61.84% of their respective annual projections.

राज्य का राजस्व अनुमान से काफी कम है। अगस्त के अंत तक ₹2.41 लाख करोड़ के लक्ष्य का केवल 32.14% ही मिला है। टैक्स से होने वाली आमदनी भी पीछे है, ₹1.81 लाख करोड़ के अनुमान का 38.1% ही आया है। गैर-टैक्स राजस्व और अनुदान में बड़ी कमी है, गैर-टैक्स राजस्व लक्ष्य का सिर्फ 15.32% है। वहीं, पेंशन और ब्याज भुगतान पर खर्च बहुत ज्यादा है, जो क्रमशः 84.74% और 61.84% तक पहुँच गया है।
